The United States

In the early years of automobile making, each car was individual, having own parts which could not be used on any other one. In order to promote the efficiency and the reusability, the manufacturer then started to standardize the parts so that parts could be used for any car of the same model. Model M was the first product of standard technology to support the exchange of parts among the cars under the same model.
